The Midsummer tea party is always the first thing on Mrs Rabbit’s calendar. She loved hosting a magnificent feast that took days of preparation, with wobbly jellies, baskets of freshly picked strawberries, generous bottles of pink lemonade and cakes galore. Her tea party was legendary, and every creature in the garden would gather eagerly each year to enjoy this special event, held in a small grassy clearing in the heart of the hollyhocks.
