Luo Wu Ji Shu Cha (2019)

The Shu Puer ‘Wu Ji’ (‘Fifth Grade’) was made at the Luo tea farm (Menghai county) in 2019.

• Appearance: medium-sized twisted leaves, brown strands of twisted leaves and their fragments, stems. The aroma is restrained and woody. The infusion is dark brown.

The bouquet of the brewed tea is mature and woody, with notes of bread, autumn, vegetables and nuts. The aroma is warm and woody. The taste is soft and velvety, slightly tangy, with a light bitterness and hints of spice.

Brew the tea with hot water (95°C) in a gaiwan or a porous clay teapot. Use 7–8 g per 100 ml. The first infusion lasts about 10 seconds. Then make short infusions (just 2–3 seconds), increasing the steeping time for each subsequent infusion if needed. The tea can be infused up to 6 times.

‘Luo Wu Ji’ is a good choice for everyday tea breaks.
