Description
NEW
First harvest - direct from the grower
Light oxidation and gentle roasting give this tea a delightful honeyed sweetness.
Taiwanese oolongs fall into three categories: Baozhong, lightly oxidised; pearl-rolled Wu Long; and Bai Hao Wu Long, oxidised to more than 60%[2].
Jin Xuan (meaning “golden day lily”), also known as cultivar #12, is the most popular cultivar in Taiwan; it is used particularly at altitude, notably on the Alishan mountains, as a hardier alternative to Chin Hsin, or on its own for its milky flavours. It was developed in the 1980s.
