GAMNONG - green tea from Korea

Also known as “Jaksul Cha” (literally “sparrow's tongue”) for the delicate shape of its small, twisted leaves, typical of a Korean green tea, Gamnong is hand-picked on the slopes of Mount Wolhul, in the heart of the plantations of Yeongam and Jangseong counties, renowned for producing green teas of exceptional flavour. Harvested at the end of April, it yields a savoury, slightly milky liquor reminiscent of certain Japanese teas. Vegetal and fruity with a mellow texture, it offers a slightly toasted, nutty note on the finish. A pleasant tea to accompany raw fish, grilled seafood, white fish or steamed vegetables.
