Jingmai Mountain raw puer tea, 2021, 357g

The Sheng Puer ‘Jingmai Mountains’ is made from the spring shoots of tea plantations in Puer province.

The 357 g tea cake is made up of twisted brown leaves with thin ends and silvery-beige tips. The fragrance is intense, floral and herbaceous. The infusion is clear, with the hue of white grapes.

The bouquet of the brewed tea is fresh and herbaceous, with woody, floral and nutty notes. The fragrance is calm, floral and herbaceous. The taste is full-bodied, slightly tangy, with a light fruity acidity and a lingering finish.

Preparation: Brew the tea in hot water (75–95°C – the lower the temperature, the gentler the taste) in a gaiwan or a porous clay teapot. Use 4–5 g per 100 ml. The first infusion lasts about 5 seconds. Then make short infusions (just 1 to 2 seconds), increasing the steeping time for each subsequent infusion if needed. The tea can be infused up to 10 times.
